Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell: Mild, semi earthy, musty sweet apple.
Initial Taste: Minimal bite. Sweet apple with hints of sour and malt. Strong presence of the peel in the apple flavours, with a slight tang.
After Taste: Apple flavours are more prevalent. Becomes dry and leaves a juicy, malty finish. Has a definite Canadian-apple taste, similar to red delicious apples. Pear/quince notes.
On ice: Becomes juicier and more crisp on ice.

Additional Notes:  A cider that starts crisp and finished more dry, Puddicombe’s Family Tree Cider combines an Ontario cider with a more “Quebec” style, ‘malty’ aftertaste.  A single variety flavour cider, it is simple and to the point – very traditional in style.
